Trail goes through a forest of aspen trees around Bierstadt Lake.
Enter Rocky Mountain National Park from the main entrance at Estes Park. Go past the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center and turn left onto Bear Lake Road. Follow this road until you come to Bierstadt Lake Trailhead on the left hand side.<br /><br /><br /><br />After hiking 1.6 miles up this trail you will be at Bierstadt Lake. This is where the trail around the lake starts.
